HELP NEEDED ASAP

Postby Kirsty10 » Tue Oct 16, 2018 2:35 pm

Hello, I’m new here. I’m an owner of a great Senegal called Jed. He is continuously Screaming. Why is this?? Or how do I minimise this? He gets let out regularly, he has treats, he has plenty of cuddles and attention. He has toys in his cage?? Losing the will to love slowly!!

Welcome to the forum! A 'Great' Senegal? Is there such a species? In any case, sennies are in breeding season right now and, although this doesn't make them scream all the time [the females get VERY affectionate and possessive and the males chew, chew, chew], it would if the bird is overly-hormonal. Is he, by any chance, being free-fed protein food and kept at a human light schedule?
