Dino to bird missing link

They identified a species of Archaeopteryx [you know, the dino ancestor of birds] that they believe is the missing link between reptiles and birds - so cool!!!!

There is no "missing link." There are as many "links" as there are generations across all organisms and their ancestors. It's just that usually the fossil record is separated by millions of years or at least thousands so it is impossible to see a complete lineage. As more discoveries are made, the differences between parental and descended specimens become finer.

Every time a "missing link" is discovered, a new "missing link" will be made between those specimens.

Yes, you are correct. But you are looking at it from a completely scientific viewpoint and headlines are meant for the hoi polloi who is attracted to sensationalism.
